DESPERATION or DELIVERANCE?

In most cases, the people who reach out for deliverance are the ones who have come to the point of desperation in their effort to find peace and healing.

The onslaught of intellectualism, religion and false teachings have by and large removed this aspect of New Testament ministry as an integral part of present day Christian ministry.

Dealing with demons is shunned for several reasons:

PRIDE AND SHAME
To realize and admit personal demonization is very humbling and traumatic. This makes it most difficult for someone in a place of authority or reputation to submit to this ministry.

DECEPTION AND FALSE TEACHINGS
Satan and the demons are deceivers. It is their nature. By their cunning they have convinced a great portion of the Body of Christ that a Christian cannot have a demon or be demonized. This lie has been propagated through sermons and books. Nowhere in the Bible is there any indication that such is so; on the contrary, Jesus constantly and consistently cast demons out of the sheep of the house of Israel.

IGNORANCE
There are some folks humble and teachable enough to accept the diagnosis of demonization, but simply do not know or have not been taught about this dimension of healing.

HARD WORK AND MESSY
Anyone who has been involved in ministering deliverance by casting out demons, knows it is real spiritual work. It can be exhausting. It requires concentration, time and patience. It can also be messy because the release of demons often causes the release of fluids, but, as we would say: “Do you want your dignity or deliverance?”

Many who come to us for deliverance have tried everything possible before being willing to admit they have a demonic problem. Remedies that preclude the discerning of  evil spirits leaves the patient only slightly healed cloaking the symptoms, perhaps, but not removing the root cause of the affliction. God takes issue with the prophets and priests who only offer superficial treatments for His people's mortal wounds in Jeremiah six and eleven. Deliverance with the casting out of unclean spirits brings the total healing the Lord has for His people.
